New Ford F-150 Diesel Hits Mark

The new 2018 Ford F-150 Pick Up truck is being touted as the most fuel efficient full size pick up for this model year and this should come as no surprise to anyone following the full size truck game.

This time the automotive stalwart has actually kept its promise and has managed to eek out the elusive thirty miles per gallon plateau in its 2018 Ford F-150 full size pick up .  The environmental protection agency has fully given its stamp of approval on the numbers that the turbo diesel powered, four stroke Ford F-150 turbo diesel V six engine that’s claiming to deliver deliver over twenty two miles per gallon in city traffic and thirty miles per gallon on the highway in the back wheel drive version of the full size pick up.

This new achievement may only temporarily give the fuel efficiency crown to the Ford F-150 as we know that the Chevy Silverado and the Dodge Ram 1500.  It should be noted that the 2018 Ford 150 diesel’s efficiency rating only applies to some specific model lines and those being the four by two version as the four by four version will not deliver anywhere near that level of efficiency, but you would be getting  an extra two hundred and fifty horses and an extra four hundred and fifty pounds of torque per square foot.

More specific details on all the specs of the new Ford F-150 Full Size pick up are still a bit sketchy and the company won’t fully disclose information on where it sees the price coming in, but you can assume that the company will be looking to leverage the data to its advantage, but it should be cautioned that much of the North American market is still a bit shy about trusting any information coming out as it relates to any type of diesel engine.
